Losing stuff
Gah! We are all the time losing stuff. It isn't so much me losing stuff as my husband and kids losing stuff, it being my fault, and me having to find said lost things. This morning, husband dawdled and would not wake up. He finally does, 10 minutes before time to leave for work. Now, this is normally OK, but today, he could not find the car keys. Here is our convo, as I am wresting a toddler to get a clean diaper on. him: where'd you put the keys last night? me: *stop wiggling Bradley* you unlocked the door, not me him: no, I didn't... wait, yes I did, but I gave you the keys me:*Bradley, stop it, it will fall off if you keep that up* No you did not. They were on the dresser until you started playing Resident Evil, and then they were gone. him: ok, what did you do with them then?? me:*all done Bradley, go lay down* Nothing, I was cooking and filling out my school app. him: oh well, I'll drive the truck, you find the keys, ok? by the way, you had them, and you lost them. me and him: various yelling not fit for Bimbo he stomps out. I tear up the house for 20 minutes until almost 6am (oh yea, is early here, I am not amused) and FINALLY find the STUPID keys AND the can opener he could not find last night after playing with it the day before, in a laundry basket, under clothes. Mind you, he had just dug through the basket since I had not yet put the clothes in the dressers looking for socks. So he had his hands on the keys... So, we go through this process at least twice a week. And my older 2 kids are gone this week, but they do this EVERY day with me. It is always my fault that things are lost and I have to find them.
